POSITION SUMMARY

This Senior Accountant position is a critical role to support the revenue team with our rapidly-growing New Homes program. This includes ensuring proper accounting of sales, accurate customer invoicing and timely applications of proceeds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reconcile to ensure system sales to customers are properly invoiced and revenue accounted accurately by adaptive reconciliations that are scalable to accommodate sales growth.

  • Address any customers’ disputes or queries relating to the customers system sales invoices by researching and revising the billed amounts as necessary.

  • Work with the New Homes team to resolve any customer issues related to invoices for systems purchased through New Homes channel.

  • Reconcile to ensure that New Homes receipts from Builders are complete and accurate, deductions are accurately accounted for, and all accounting activity aligns with the Builder’s contract. .

  • Manipulate and reconcile large volumes of data in Excel from sources such as Oracle, Salesforce, Snowflake, and other data sources to perform monthly reconciliations and prepare entries to correct discrepancies.

  • Assist in timely and accurate AR sub ledger close and month end close.

  • Assist with projects and other ad hoc accounting duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER SKILLS)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.

  • Results-oriented, able to manage deadlines and proactively communicate on-going issues to various team members

  • Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions

  • Ability to work independently and communicate professionally with other departments

  • Ability to comprehend complex, customized processes that deviate from standard processes

  • Ability to build and improve functional spreadsheets with efficient formulas

  • Ability to document processes using Microsoft Office products

  • Experience with manipulating and managing large amounts of data (over 700k lines or 300MB) in Excel.

  • Experience writing SQL reports out of Snowflake a plus

  • Experience with Excel 365, Xlookup, and Indexmatch a plus

  • Knowledge of Oracle Applications-R12, Oracle Fusion (Cloud), and Salesforce is a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of work

Ability to interact with co-workers and participate in meetings

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:

$66,661.00 to $83,353.00

Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards.
